Prof. Liangbing Hu and Prof. Shu Hu of Yale University along with USPlasma have
received $3.6 million in funding from the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy
(ARPA-E) of the U.S. Department of Energy. Led by PI Liangbing Hu, the project will
use ultrahigh-temperature stable plasma (USP) technology to convert waste carbon-
containing materials into high-performance carbon allotropes for applications in
electronics and energy storage.
